Sochaux's hopes of moving up the Ligue 2 standings were dashed on Tuesday night as they succumbed to a disappointing 0-1 defeat at home to Le Mans.
Despite dominating possession and creating numerous chances, Sochaux were unable to break through the Le Mans defense, with the visitors eventually snatching the victory thanks to a late goal from Anthony Soubervie.
The result leaves Sochaux 12th in the table, while Le Mans climb to 10th.
